Is Cairn free?
Yes. The Free plan stays free, with no card. Cairn Plus adds unlimited Ask Cairn, a full review every payday and more, from AED 29.99 a month.
I've never stuck to a budget. Will this work for me?
Cairn doesn't ask you to sort every coffee into a category. It gives you one number, what's safe to spend today, and a 30-second check-in in the evening. That's enough to start.
Do you need my bank logins?
No. You add your balances and spending yourself in a few seconds a day, or forward your bank texts from your iPhone. Cairn never asks for your bank logins.
Can Cairn add my Apple Pay payments and bank texts by itself?
Yes, on iPhone, with two free shortcuts you install from Settings in about two minutes. Each Apple Pay payment you make in a shop reaches Cairn the moment you pay, and each bank SMS or email becomes a transaction too; codes and ads are ignored. Only the amount, currency, date and merchant are sent, never your card or your bank, and you confirm each one in your Inbox. Payments made before you install the shortcuts and online payments can't be read, because Apple doesn't share them: import a statement for those.
Who is Cairn for?
People paid in the UAE whose money also lives somewhere else: savings, a loan, family or a home back home. If your whole life is in one bank and one currency, a bank app may be enough.
Which countries and currencies?
All of them. Each account keeps its own currency, and Cairn adds everything up in AED.
Where is my data?
Hosted in the European Union (Ireland). You can export or delete everything at any time in Settings.
Can I cancel Cairn Plus?
Anytime, in Settings. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for, then you're back on Free with nothing lost.
